Artist Biography

Originally from Erie, Pennsylvania, I have called Florida home since 1994, finding my artistic sanctuary in the vibrant community of DeLand. I am a dedicated painter and sculptor, and I find joy in the process of bringing my creations to life, infusing each piece with my unique perspective and passion.

My creative journey is fueled by a diverse array of influences, ranging from the timeless elegance of Renaissance masters like Michelangelo and Da Vinci to the whimsical imagination of Salvador Dalí and contemporary artist Todd Schorr. Each artist inspires me in their own way, encouraging me to explore new techniques and push the boundaries of his medium.

My artwork is a reflection of my deep connection to both the natural world and the realm of imagination. Through my paintings and sculptures, I invite viewers to explore a world where reality and fantasy intertwine, evoking a sense of wonder and nostalgia.

As my artistic journey unfolds, my personal life also takes new turns. Recently, my daughter embarked on her own adventure, venturing off to college to pursue her dreams. With this new chapter opening in my family life, I find myself drawn even more deeply into the pursuit of art. With the newfound focus on my craft, I dive headfirst into my studio, eager to explore new ideas and techniques. Each brushstroke and sculpting gesture becomes a form of self-discovery, a journey of exploration into the depths of my creativity. As I delve deeper into my art, I find solace and inspiration, forging a path that is uniquely my own.

In early 2024, I took a bold step forward by founding ArtWorks DeLand—a hub of creativity and collaboration. Here, I work alongside a talented team of artists, fostering a supportive environment where creativity can flourish and community can thrive. Together, we celebrate the power of art to unite and inspire.
